This program provides training for new operators. The session is 8 hours of theory only.
Topics covered include:
Legal rights and responsibilities in forklift operation
Safety and health hazards
Lift truck operating principles including pre-operation inspections, refueling, center of gravity and load stability
Typical controls or solutions for common problems
Lift truck training requires the operator's certificate to be renewed every 3 years.
