Tractors are used to move a variety of products and present hazards for the operators, their peers and by-standers in each scenario, regardless of the task.
Many hazards present potentially heightened risks when faced out in the field require careful consideration and planning for safe work procedures.
Topics to be covered include: equipment manuals, authorization, vehicle circle checks, shields and guards, lock out, ROPS, hitching, and accident reporting.
Links introducing the safe operation of skid steers are included.
General safety topics such as the use of PPE for equipment operation is reviewed.

Workers who will be operating tractors, ride on mower or other large farming machinery should complete the module. |
