Knowing how to properly use fall protection equipment is critical for the safety of workers working at heights. All employees that use fall protection are required to receive Working at Heights training, approved by the Ministry of Labour (MOL) and delivered by an approved training provider, before they can work at heights. The MOL approved training program consists of both theoretical and practical components providing employees with the fundamental information to protect themselves from injury due to a fall from height.
Target Audience: Employees working from heights above 3.0 metres and who have completed the original full day MOL approved training program
PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING PHOTO ID AND PROOF OF PREVIOUS WORKING AT HEIGHTS TRAINING.
Note: Working at Heights training (WOH) is valid for 3 years after the successful completion of an approved program. The Ministry of Labour, Training, Skills and Development has extended the WOH validity period by 1 year for workers who completed the training between February 28 and August 31, 2017, due to COVID-19. No extension beyond this period has been provided.
Due to COVID-19, there will be capacity restrictions for this training and COVID-19 precautions will be enforced. Before coming to campus you must complete the University of Guelph COVID-19 Screening Form BEFORE you arrive. Please contact Rachel Pinto, rpinto@uoguelph.ca, if you have any concerns or inquiries.
