Environmental Health and Safety

Successful workplace inspections follow recognized steps and knowing what to look for is critical when conducting workplace inspections.

You will gain an understanding of what workplace inspections entail, including those are required specifically under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Participants will learn how to conduct inspections by identifying hazards. Participants will engage in group discussions and exercises to explore the purpose and requirements for inspections as well as develop the skills needed to understand and implement the five stages of the inspection cycle.



Eligibility:
This course is ideal for those responsible for workplace inspections - managers, supervisors and Joint Health and Safety Committee members, Health and Safety Representatives, and those who wish to become involved in workplace safety.
