As a user of nuclear substances and/or radiation devices, you must participate in radiation safety training. This training is designed to meet initial training requirements. Refresher training is required every 3 years. The course will include the following topics:

* Radiation Quantities & Units
* Biological & Health Effects
* Radiation Measurement & Instrumentation
* Dosimetry
* Controlling Exposures
* University of Guelph Standard Operation Procedures
* Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving of Radioactive Materials
* Emergency Procedures & Response
